Timp. Caves with the Tanners!!

My sister Stacy and her family came to visit for an entire week!! It was so much fun. We tried to think of a bunch of different things to do and one of them was to go hike to the Timpanogas caves. We figured it wouldnt be too bad since all the kids are older-except Avery-and Curtis volunteered to carry her on his back. Bill had to work.
We opted for an early start because its so much cooler in the morning. We woke up bright and early, packed some lunches and headed out the door excited for a fun morning.
Not fun. It was straight up hill for a mile and a half. I am not even close to being in shape and that made for a hard hour trying to coax up Caleb and Tyson. To top it off, I didnt bring an asthma pump for Tyson and he was having a hard time. We were a little over 1/4th of the way up and I thought there might be one in the glove box of the burb, so I ran down, didnt find one, then ran back up trying to catch up with the rest of he group that kept going. I thought I was going to puke. After forever of listening to complaining kids, an absolute terrified Taylor who couldnt stand the height, and a screaming Avery who hated every minute of being straped into a backpack and being away from her mom, we FINALLY made it to the top.
It was so worth it!!

It was nice and cool in the caves and felt so good.
The kids loved it, Avery-not so much.

These were some seriously cool caves with lots of neat things to see. Im so glad we made the trek up. On our way, we ran into an 80 year old man who said he made it up in 20 minutes. Thats the craziest thing ive ever heard. This white haired man was a machine!!

The happy and very tired bunch at the top of the mountain. We are looin good. I am soooo not a morning person!

Noah was enjoying the beautiful scenery

Such a fun morning. The trek down was a nightmare. I had to pee so bad, Tyson and Caleb had had enough and Avery once again screamed the whole way down. Luckily it didnt take nearly as long. We ate lunch at a little park accross the street and then headed home to crash. We were definaltely beat.
On this day it was Curtis's birthday, so we opted to eat out at the Mayan. The kids loved the divers and there is so much to keep the kids entertained so us adults could talk. The food wasnt too bad either. I have heard the food is horrible-but I thought it was pretty good.
We came home and ate some yummy texas sheet cake and watched Pride and Prejudice (the new one). Perfect ending. Such a fun day!!
