Back To School Night

This past week we went to back to school night and we were able to meet the teachers and see some of the stuff that the kids are going to do and learn this year. Tyson and Caleb thought it was their school and wanted to wear their backpacks-poor kids. Its always hard for the ones who stay at home because they think the kids are going to some super fun place-little do they know what its the beginging of. I love both of the kids classrooms-they both have great teachers and fun people in their class. It was a fun night.

This is kinda sad, but the next night, after we had put the kids to bed, Lani came down and was crying. She said that she was looking at some pictures of her Kindergarten class and she really misses them and especially her teacher. She loved her so much. I think she thought that you get one teacher the rest of your school life. She was a little confused on how that works. She is such a sweet girl. She has made friends so fast and I know she is happy here, but I think all the kids miss home-ME TOO!!!!

This is what its all about..

First off, I want to say Congrats to my super cute neice Julia for getting baptized, we are all so proud of you. Avery and I were lucky enough to be able to go to Texas for the big day. We had so much fun hangin out with family and shopping during no tax weekend and eating way more than was possible. Thanks Stacy and Curtis for a fun, fun weekend.

So yesterday was the big first day of school. Things went so smoothly in the morning. We had tons of time and we werent rushed (which already went out the door this morning) and I thought to myself, this has really been a great day. We started off good, the little ones are being so good and letting me get tons done-this is a good day. I think I spoke too soon. Bill came home so I could take the car to get the kids from school and to take Noah school shopping, and im not even kidding, all of a sudden all at about the same time, all heck broke loose. Avery had a huge blowout, so just as I put her on the changing table, I hear a panicked scream from Tyson. I look over and he had cut open a tube of super glue and it went everywhere.(mind you, I was 3 feet away from him and he was standing right next to Bill and neither of us saw him pick up the sicssors) It went all over his arms and straight into his mouth and the side of his face. It was burning and he couldnt shut his mouth. So he was screaming and we didnt know what to do, I had Avery half naked and covered in poop on top of the table, Bill was trying to read the tube to find out if it was poisionious and then Caleb comes out of his room from taking a nap,screaming, and his nose was bleeding, but he wouldnt let us touch him. It was so funny. We were all running around like crazy people trying to take care of it all. So after a quick trip to the urgent care, Tyson was ok, Caleb had finally stopped crying from being woken up too early from Tysons screaming, Avery was happy and clean, and we just made it to the school to pick up the kids on time. Phew!!! And off to 7-11 for some slurpees for a good first day of school. (im not going to post pictures of the poop and bloody nose) Days like these are so AWESOME!!! I love it, its FANTASTIC.

Being the super Mom that I am, I figured that since Avery is almost 7 months, that its about time to start her on solid food. Whoops. It just one more mouth to feed, im in no hurry, she is obviously thriving. Anywho, we thought it was about time. We started her on rice cereal and some yummy green beans. She freaked out and grabbed the spoon the second it came close. Not quite sure what she was expecting, but im sure it wasnt green beans.

She was all smiles ready for the big moment. The kids thought it was the funniest thing and they all wanted to be right in her face.

I dont know if she is a huge fan, but she did really good. We only had some mild gagging towards the end.

All in all, today was a great day!!!!

The First Day of School...HOORAY!!!

Can it really be true? Is it really the first day of school? Dont get me wrong, this has been a super fun summer, but they just get to a point where they are soooooo bored and that equals trouble. Lani and Noah both got great teachers and they were both so excited. We got up as early as we could, had a good breakfast and got to school in time to meet teachers and other kids in the class. Its weird only having 3 little ones at home. Now, if we can just find a preschool for Tyson that doesnt cost $200/mo. I think that they think since we live in park city it gives them the right to charge a ridiculous amount-and this was the cheapest I have been able to find. CRAZY. Heres to a great school year!!!!

Of course the day before school starts, Lani gets a huge cut on her nose, thanks to calebs great throwing skills. And yes, that is a High School Musical outfit (THANKS GRANDMA) Lani is a bit obsessed. She wanted a HSM Shirt, pants, , shoes, backpack and even underwear. Thankfully its only the shirt and pants.

This is Lanis classroom. The teacher has an under the sea theme and the room is decorated so cute. This is perfect for lani, I was so happy.

HAPPY 6 MONTHS, BABY GIRL

Its so amazing how time flies. My baby girl is already 6 months old. We took some of our own pictures of her on her special day and she looks so big. We just love this girl so much. She makes us smile all the time. I really am so blessed to have this sweet thing. I really think she might just be the perfect baby. Im so glad that we are having so much fun with her since she is our last and all. Next thing I know she will be likeing boys and wanting a cell phone and wanting highlights and all that junk that comes with tweeners. I think I will really just try to enjoy these innocent years the best I can. Happy half year princess!!!!

Sticky Situation

We bought a brand new bag of gum for bribes and treats and such, and I thought I hid it well enough but....apparently my kids have a gum sense like no other. They found it, hid in the bathroom and ate half the bag. It was too funny to be mad, but....

... I still had to punish them!!!!

I love Brother, he loves Me

Isnt this the CUTEST thing EVER!!!! I had baby einstien on for Avery and I put her on the love sac. I was on the computer and noticed I had not heard Caleb talking about the animals anymore. I went in there and I found them like this. Caleb loves Avery so much and he always wants to cuddle with her and hold her. He is so sweet with her.

Anyone that knows my kids know they are a handful and a half, but I just have to say how much I love these sweet kids. They are all so different and unique and most days I want to give them away, but I just love them to death. They are funny and crazy and silly and Im just so lucky to have 5 beautiful, healthy kids. I think somedays your just more grateful than others, but I always want to be grateful-not just on the good days. Today was not one of those good days. I will leave it at that.

I totally scored at Target today and I just want to brag. Thanks to some random lady who told me about this hidden rack of baby sale items, I finally got a bedding set for Avery, (amy coe 4 piece set-sooooo cute 22.48), some fleece blankets (2.48), bibs(0.98), socks(0.98), onsies(1.48), a pillow to match the bedding set(0.98),3 crib sheets(1.48) and a cute little stuffed lamb(0.98). I LOVE TARGET!!!!

And last but not least-I just want to say CONGRATS to my brother Trent and his wife Jackie and little Jonas on the new arrival of baby Finn (Finnigin James Malone). He was born yesterday and is doing great. He is a cutie and we have no idea who he looks like. I will post a picture when I get one of him that isnt coverd in birth goo. This is the first neice of nephew on my side that I havent been able to be there for the birth-so im so missing my family right now, but thank goodness for blogs and emails to make me feel like im home.

Oh, and welcome Mike and Debbie to the blogging community. We are so excited to keep up on your family.

Thats for dang sure. Is this not fair or what. This is the result of having Tongan blood I guess. All the kids are like this, I just didnt want to show little boy butt crack. I just thought this was funny.

Sea World!!!

To add to the fun California vacation-we went to Sea World with the whole family. The kids had a blast with their cousins and sat in all the soak zones, but didnt get soaked (so sad). Our favorite show was the cat and dog show. Its amazing what they can get these animals to do. By the end of the day, the kids were wiped out and hungry. Fun day had by all.
